Our Story ❤️

There are places where the mountains are just a backdrop. And then there are those where they are a way of life.

At Collet d’Allevard, our story begins long before the shop windows, the rows of skis, and the passing seasons. It takes root in 1955, when the resort was founded, with Fernand and Hélène, Evan’s grandparents.

Back then, everything was yet to be built.

They opened their first shop in a chalet, the Télé Bar—a place that was both simple and lively, combining a restaurant with a sports equipment store. A gathering place, even then. A living space, even then. Located where Building B of Les Arolles stands today, this first business laid the foundation for what would become much more than just a business.

A few years later, the adventure continued with the creation of the Chamois d’Or, marking a new stage in the development of the resort… and the family business.

Then came Marcel and Annie Béranger, who took over, expanded, and supported the growth of Collet d’Allevard. They watched the resort evolve, season after season, and dedicated their energy, their commitment, and their lives to it.

They didn’t just work the mountain. They carried it.

Today, the third generation continues this story, with Evan and Stéphanie. A natural continuity, built on respect, but also on evolution. A desire to move things forward, while remaining true to what has always mattered: hospitality, closeness, and a sense of service.

Here, nothing is set in stone. But nothing is forgotten.

You don’t just come here to rent equipment; you step into a story. A story built on tradition, trust, and bonds forged over time.
